Kati Sorensen, Attorney at Law
Kati practices in the area of No-Fault Insurance Law for injured clients and providers. In 2010, she received a B.A. in Political Science with a double minor in History and Criminal Justice from Saginaw Valley State University.
Kati received her law degree, cum laude, including litigation concentration from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2014.
During law school, Kati was an Honors Scholarship recipient, Dean’s List member, and was awarded a certificate of merit in Juvenile Law.
She worked as a student attorney at the Prosecutors Office of Genesee County, and with the Family Law Assistance Project in Oakland County.
Since her admission to the bar, Kati assisted indigent clients on a pro bono basis with the Family Law Assistance Project before she came on board with Schefman & Associates, PC in 2015.
Kati has focused extensively on the representation of personal injury victims and medical service providers who have been denied rightful compensation from their patients’ insurance carriers.
Kati is a member of the Michigan State Bar and the Michigan Association for Justice.
